MicDrop for Business

Your business may be made up of employees, but those employees make up a team. And that team can only work together optimally when there is mutual trust and respect. It’s hard to breed an environment of trust and respect when the parties hardly know each other (or themselves, for that matter).

All humans are made up of memory and experience, conflict and resolution, struggles and challenges – in fewer words, a story. Each member of your team is walking around with a gem of a personal experience, and we want to help bring that all out into the open. Our brains are hard-wired to remember stories, and according to psychologist Jerome Bruner, we remember stories 22 times better than raw data!

MicDrop partners with business and corporations to make room for vulnerability at the office – through deep and thoughtful connective communication. Many different people can parallel work together, it takes something completely different to create a team. As Simon Sinek says, “A team is not a group of people who work together. A team is a group of people who trust each other.”

This is what happens when individuals share their stories together, learn and grow from each other, and come out in a place of empathy, understanding, trust, camaraderie, and bravery. It’s no longer one man for himself. It’s no longer about ego and ownership. What once were some people working alongside each other is now a fellowship of humanity. What once was a group of individual employees is now a collective force field of infinite potential. This is storytelling. This is MicDrop.

MicDrop for Individuals

Storytelling is built into the condition of being human. Humans are different from all other species primarily because of language. We are speakers. We are sharers. It’s in our DNA to use our imaginations, to be creative, to step outside of ourselves and listen and hear our fellow men and women. We’re wired to connect through speech. But, we don’t always know how. And we aren’t all always brave enough.

When utilized on an individual level, MicDrop can help guide you to tap into a deeper self, to find your purpose, your passion. What drives you? What’s your story? Every single human has one. Let’s draw yours out together, and in turn, change from within.

Storytelling is not about a trauma. It’s about a message – your message. It’s about finding your most powerful experience of your life, and showing up with that. Perhaps you’re trapped in a conditioned way of thinking, or longing to communicate effectively with family and friends. Perhaps you’re needing some self-empowerment or looking to boost confidence or target a fear of public speaking.

In any case, everything about us as people can simmer down to communication. We are our communication. Our expression is the only way people know us. Let’s find your story. Let’s learn how to tell it. This is your truth. This is MicDrop.

About Rosh Lowe

Rosh Lowe is the Founder of MicDrop LLC, and the creator of the ‘MicDrop Method’ – a public speaking training methodology that has allowed even those with the most intense fear of public speaking to get past the fear. Named the Miami New Times best reporter in 2013, Rosh was known for getting those hard-to-get interviews. His ability to motivate others to connect with their passion, share their story and inspire others with their message has landed Rosh an incredible roster of clients including the US Military, The Boys and Girls Club of Broward, The Jewish Federation and numerous key executives at major corporations.

A number of Rosh’s clients have gone on to speak regularly and become professional speakers in their own right. As a child star on Broadway and then for over 20 years as TV News Reporter, Rosh has spent most of his life in front of audiences. His ability to bring stories to life and find the hope and inspiration in even the most painful experiences has led to Rosh being a sought-after speaker having shared his own story in cities across the United States. A frequent contributor to Forbes as a member of their Coaches Council, Rosh is equally comfortable in a corporate environment as he is working with teenagers. In fact, his coaching method is rooted in connecting to the shared similarity we all have as human beings.

“Whether you are a high-powered CEO or a struggling teenager trying to figure life out, you all are wired for connection exactly the same way.”

Rosh lives in Miami, FL, is an avid runner and along with his wife, Alex, parents 4 boys, 2 of which think they are already men. Rosh also happens to have a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, but he doesn’t want you to take that too seriously. He prefers that you let his clients speak for his ability and insists that if there were an award for the best client testimonials ever received, he’d be in the running.

About Eli Nash

Eli Nash is the CEO of JEG & Sons Inc. and the Co-Founder of MicDrop. Eli founded JEG & Sons in 2006 to bring no contract and unlocked phones to US e-tailers and retailers. Under his guidance, JEG grew from a startup to over 200m in revenue servicing retail giants such as Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Target and many others.

In addition to his business accomplishments, Eli has taken active role in the non-profit world sitting on the Board of Lamplighters Yeshivah (a Jewish Day school), Jewish Community Watch (a leading organization in the fight against child sexual abuse) and in an advisory role with Urban Promise Miami (an after-school program servicing little Havana). As Eli held the details of his own abuse secret for many years, Eli is passionate about empowering others to speak up and to use their voice to be an agent of change in their community.

In 2018, Eli founded MicDrop, a public speaking training program with an emphasis on those who could not imagine speaking publicly, as a way to channel his passion for empowering others in this way.

Eli lives in Miami, Florida with his wife, Fraida, and his son, Samuel. Other than a Rabbinical degree, Eli doesn’t have any degrees to speak of. Eli thinks that’s an asset but not everyone agrees with him. Eli still has a fear of public speaking, but he does it anyway. Eli plans on giving a Ted talk someday, write a book about it and also adopt a dog. Odds are pretty good that he will accomplish two of those three at some point.

About Ryan Carter

Ryan Carter, MicDrop’s Director of Marketing and Communications, didn’t have an easy start in life. Born in Guyana, South America, and having arrived as a teenager to Miami, Ryan watched some of his closest friends end up in prison or worse. He credits his rough upbringing to what fueled his drive to succeed and later became involved in the non-profit sector where he worked with at-risk teens and young adults.

An artist, speaker, host and designer, Ryan has yet to share his full story with his family, friends and colleagues. He hopes that once he does, he’ll be able to inspire action and drive change among his listeners.

Ryan credits Rosh and MicDrop for making him a believer in the power of stories and their ability to change lives. He was extremely moved when Damien Rosen, who went through a traumatic brain injury that left him unable to show certain emotions, broke into tears after sharing his story.

Ryan and his wife Vilon live just outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with their two children, Syncere and Nastasia, and their Maine Coon Chanel.

He was introduced to porn at 11 years old in the 1980’s, well before the internet boom, and that early experience marked the beginning of a 24 year addiction to pornography. Beny now has become an advocate for sexual recovery, sharing his story of survival and recovery with the goal of contributing to a constructive conversation about Porn and Sex Addiction by removing the shame and stygma associated with these topics. With the current normalization and widespread consumption of Internet Pornography in our society, Beny has made it his purpose to challenge others to examine their own relationship with Internet Porn and seek they help they may need, to give a voice to recovering Porn and Sex Addicts who still feel the shame and stygma of their addictions and to educate and empower parents to proactively have constructive, open conversations with their children, so they may stand a chance against perhaps the greatest threat to their hearts, souls and happiness.

About Arnold Rodriguez

Arnold took the Micdrop stage in February of 2019 for their Micdrop Unmasked event. He believes wholeheartedly that his “Micdrop moment” changed his life. No stranger to the stage, Arnold had been doing Improv and Off-off Broadway acting for many years in New York before moving to Miami in 2016. But, this experience was different. To step onto a stage and finally tell his own story was a surreal experience. To live through those moments where one can fully understand the true power in vulnerability was profound in it’s scope. So much so that now he feels truly privileged to be a trainer in the Micdrop method of public speaking. He is now returning the gift to the world by teaching people that their stories truly do matter. Arnold remains humbly grateful to Rosh Lowe and Eli Nash for inviting him onboard for this movement. A movement whose time has most definitely come.
